Rich Thompson most recently served as vice president of marketing for ITW Welding North America, where he led the marketing efforts for the industry’s best known and respected brand, Miller® Electric. He created and led Miller’s “WE BUILD” brand campaign, which has been a game changer for marketing in welding world, and a 2015 North American EFFIE award winner for its effectiveness. The story of the campaign’s success was featured in Response’s February 2018 issue. Thompson also led the marketing efforts for the Teflon® consumer brand at DuPont, which was featured in Response’s September 2006 issue. Prior to that, he held various marketing leadership/product management roles at Newell Rubbermaid.
